Nick Dawson
Artist and musician Nick Dawson has been promoting nights and Djing in and around Wales for the best part of 10 years. The electronic music which he’s been producing since 2005 is about clean, syncopated percussive layers and polyrhythms working against deep melodic phrases. Clearly rooted in techno but also influenced by the house music of Audio Werner, Derrick L. Carter and Ian Pooley as well as pure electronica such as Autechre, Boards of Canada and FourTet.
Now living in Essex, Nick has been DJing for Telephasic Workshop and is currently exploring Ableton Live as a means of constructing live mixes of entirely original material.
